For the following cards and e-money services, you are required to enter image authentication or a one-time password when updating data from these institutions.

  • Orico Card

  • Mobile PASMO

  • Mobile Suica

Please understand that this additional authentication is required based on the specifications of the card issuer. We at Moneytree are making efforts to reduce the frequency of these prompts to the extent technically possible.

For the services listed below, you may also be frequently prompted for image authentication or a one-time password, although not every single time.

  • Amazon Points

  • PayPay Card

If You Receive Frequent One-Time Passwords

As a security measure, a one-time password is sent whenever your data is refreshed. You can reduce the frequency of these notifications by following the steps below in the Moneytree app.

  1. iOS: On the orange screen, tap the "+" icon in the top right. Android: Tap the icon in the top right corner > "Connection Settings."

  2. Tap the specific financial institution.

  3. In the settings for that institution, tap "Automatic Data Refresh."

  4. Turn off "Request update on app open" (this is on by default). (The image below is an example.)

When you wish to update, you can do so at any time by tapping the refresh icon in the "Update Now" row. (The image below is an example.)
