Moneytree was launched in April 2013 as a service that emphasizes security and privacy. In terms of privacy, we were the first asset management application in Japan to receive the rigorous TRUSTe certification from the Japan Privacy Certification Organization, and we have renewed this certification for three consecutive years. We have also received numerous inquiries about our security efforts, so I would like to explain our security and privacy initiatives.

Moneytree offers international-level security standards

  • We incorporate biometrics such as authentication pinning and Touch ID

  • We conduct regular penetration testing by third-party white hat hackers

  • We operate on Amazon Web Servers that meet FISC security standards, which are also used by financial institutions

Moneytree respects your privacy

  • We will never ask you for information we do not need to log in, register, or register an account

  • We make the withdrawal process smooth and leave no record of your membership

  • We do not serve any ads or banners based on personal information

  • We are clear about our user agreement

  • We have an explicit privacy policy

  • We renew our accreditation with TRUSTe, the Japan Privacy Certification Organization, every year.

Moneytree does not restrict your data

Our policy is that “your data belongs to you.” Therefore, we do not place any restrictions on your data. Moneytree will continue to provide these features free of charge.

Our security measures are always proactive and incorporate the latest technologies, but they are by no means a goal. We are constantly striving to do our best in the aforementioned areas. Similarly, our privacy policy, along with our Terms of Use, is distributed as open source (including Creative Commons) and disclosed where it can be easily seen by our users for further development.

As part of our commitment to transparency regarding our security and privacy policies, we will also be publishing an engineering blog in the future. Our development managers will be in charge of this blog, so please stay tuned.
