Starting from October 1st, 2021, Moneytree has partially resumed supporting Rakuten Bank’s personal accounts.

Please note the following when connecting to a personal account for Rakuten Bank:

  • Only a savings [普通] account is supported. A term deposit [定期預金] account is no longer supported. We appreciate your understanding.

  • Please choose our Moneytree's subscription plans*.

*Our subscription plans enrich your asset management with multiple cool features.

*If you are using Moneytree ID outside of the Moneytree App, please check with our partner services.

Due to the revision of the Banking Law in Japan, Electronic Settlement Systems of Banks agency (電子決済等代行業者), including Moneytree, are required to sign a contract with each bank by the end of September 2020 when handling customers’ bank account information, and are asked to provide services in a more secure manner to conform to those contracts.

We have been working hard to respond to the requirements, but we kindly ask our customers to subscribe to our plans due to these new contracts with each bank. While most banks provide us data the same way as before, some banks had to change their method. Please note that the services we provide are subject to change depending on the details of the contract with each bank.
